There is a place within our being where inner peace resides. When we discover, engage and move with the natural rhythms and intelligence of our bodies, we begin to feel positively connected to our world. Opening up to our vitality, we welcome peace and our mind becomes comfortably still. Yoga is an invitation, a personal adventure into this awareness.

In Sharon’s yoga class:

Sharon’s classes emphasize the internal practice of hatha yoga: the dynamic interplay of focused action and receptive awareness supported by the breath. She teaches how to explore the brilliance of our outer form while awakening the life force that nourishes deep tissue layers and inner presence, our core that is quiet and lucid. Sharon takes great care to support individualized yoga practices and encourages students to pay close attention to what is right for them.

Helpful Yoga tips:

Be kind and loving to yourself by accepting where you are. Rest often. Do what you can, with what you have, and with where you are. Listen to your body, pushing yourself beyond comfort and pain is not part of any practice. Its important to abandon any competitive mind-sets. Yoga is a mindful practice which makes the body stronger, more flexible, and generally healthier. Its your opportunity to calm the mind, open the heart, and experience the physical body as a whole. The goal is to have fun and celebrate where you are in the present moment.
